Ebony Mala with OM ॐ Pendant

Hand-knotted mala made of 108 ebony beads with their warm, matte dark brown hue. It is topped with a guru bead made of semi-precious stone, set in chased silver elements; attached to it is a white-metal pendant with a silver finish in the shape of the Tibetan OM ॐ—the sacred syllable of Buddhism, which symbolizes the unity of body, speech, and mind. The 108 beads correspond to the traditional number of beads in a Buddhist prayer necklace and are used to accompany the recitation of mantras and the counting of breaths during meditation.
