"Infinite knot" silver pendant

Pendant in the traditional shape of an endless knot, which is bulbous and has a hollow space. The height is 38 mm (incl. eyelet), the width is 17 mm and the depth is 9 mm. The diameter of the eyelet is 4 mm. Made by Atelier Tibet in a traditional silversmith's workshop in Nepal. The pendant goes well with the Atelier Tibet snake necklaces (sold separately).

The Endless Knot (Sanskrit: Shrivatsa, Tibetan: Dpal be'u) is one of the Eight Symbols of Good Fortune in Buddhism and symbolizes the connection of wisdom and compassion as well as the infinity of life and the interconnectedness of all things in the universe.

It has neither beginning nor end and represents the incessant cycles of birth, death and rebirth (samsara), but also the inseparable interplay of cause and effect (karma). At the same time, the knot refers to the timeless nature of enlightenment and the endless energy of Buddha, which is always present everywhere.
