Necklace made from dark amber stones

Deep brown and ruby-red amber beads with a rich, high luster are strung into a long, warm necklace—their organic glow is reminiscent of dried resin in the autumn light. Amber has accompanied people since the Stone Age as a material for jewelry and rituals; it is found in trade traditions stretching from the Baltic Sea to Central Asia and is worn in many cultures as a natural treasure with a long history. A red macramé sliding knot with two tassels closes the necklace, evoking the traditional mala form.
