Necklace made from opal beads, turquoise and silver

Necklace made from bean-shaped, brown-green African opal beads measuring approx. 12 mm in length and an old dark green turquoise bead framed by silver beads. The necklace has a circumference of 49 cm and is opened with a silver hook clasp. The necklace is handmade in Atelier Tibet in Zurich.

African opalis a variety of chalcedony or quartz from South Africa that is prized for its soft beige, green or turquoise tones. It is considered a stone of calm and grounding, which promotes serenity, creativity and inner balance.

In Tibetan jewelry, turquoise is traditionally used as a symbol of protection, prosperity and health and is an important component of many spiritual and cultural amulets and pieces of jewelry.
