Hand-woven scarf from Bhutan – sheep's wool, grey with playful embellishments

Scarf with character made of heathered grey sheep's wool with a fine twill structure. Playful little tufts of yarn in orange with olive green and blue with white are scattered across the middle section, loosely woven and each one unique. At both ends, rows of stylized, plant-like figures and small triangular motifs follow between twisted ribbons in pink, white, and dark blue, finished with black fringe.

In Bhutan, handweaving is a tradition cultivated over generations, and every piece bears the personal touch of the weaver. With its generous width, the scarf can also be draped over the shoulders as a stole.
