Mini prayer flags Om-Mantra - Lokta paper, Nepal
These prayer flags are made in Nepal from traditionally handmade lokta paper. The motif shows the OM mantra, surrounded by Tibetan characters and symbolic representations.
Om Mani Padme Hum(ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ) is probably the best-known mantra in Tibetan Buddhism. It is attributed to the bodhisattva of compassion, Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig in Tibetan), and is a central element of the spiritual practice of many Buddhists. The mantra consists of six syllables, each of which has a deeper symbolic meaning:
- Om(ཨོཾ་) - Purifies pride and ego
- Ma(མ་) - Purifies jealousy and desire for pleasure
- Ni(ཎི་) - Purifies passion and desire
- Pad(པད་) - Purifies stupidity and prejudice
- Me(མེ་) - Purifies poverty and possessiveness
- Hum(ཧཱུྃ་) - Purifies hatred and aggression
Together, the mantra stands for the transformation of the impurities of the mind into the wisdom and compassion of an enlightened being. The wind carries the prayers and good wishes in all directions.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
