Small green Tara pendant in silver

Small silver pendant of the Green Tara. Green Tara is a central bodhisattva figure in Tibetan Buddhism and symbolizes compassion, protection and quick help. She is often depicted as a protector who removes obstacles and averts danger. Her green color stands for energy and the active form of compassion. She sits in a relaxed posture with one leg outstretched, ready to respond to the requests of the faithful. In her left hand she holds a lotus flower, which represents purity and enlightenment. The Green Tara's mantra, "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha", is recited to gain protection, courage and inner strength.
