Larimar necklace with lapis lazuli

Necklace with faceted blue-green Larimar beads, individual blue Lapis Lazuli beads and a silver spring clasp. The beads are approx. 3 mm in diameter and the necklace measures 39 cm in circumference. The necklace is made in Atelier Tibet in Zurich.

Larimar is a rare, blue gemstone that is found exclusively in the Dominican Republic. Its characteristic color ranges from light blue to greenish-blue and is reminiscent of the colors of the Caribbean Sea. Geologically, larimar is a variety of the mineral pectolite, whose blue color is due to copper deposits. Larimar is said to have a calming effect; it is said to help release inner blockages and boost self-confidence. It is also said to have the ability to break through negative thought patterns and promote intuition.

Lapis lazuli is a deep blue, opaque semi-precious stone that has been prized for its beauty and spiritual properties for thousands of years. Its name comes from the Latin lapis (stone) and the Arabic lazaward (sky or blue). The stone is said to promote intuition, communication and inner peace by supporting the third eye and throat chakra. It helps to calm the mind, create harmony and ward off negative energies.
