Mala bracelet made from yak bone, ebony and turquoise
This traditional mala bracelet consists of dark ebony beads with a diameter of 8 mm and a brown-red bead cut from yak bone, which is framed by two turquoise beads. The bracelet is available in different sizes, is elastic and adapts perfectly to the wrist . It is handmade in the Atelier Tibet in Zurich.
Yak bone is used in Tibetan jewelry as a sacred material that symbolizes transience and at the same time embodies protection, healing and spiritual purity.
Ebony is one of the most valuable and precious woods in the world. Due to its exceptional hardness and resilience, it is easy to polish, giving it a natural, shiny surface.
In Tibetan jewelry, turquoise is traditionally used as a symbol of protection, prosperity and health and is an important component of many spiritual and cultural amulets and pieces of jewelry.
