Mala Counter - Mala Counter "Skull"

Keep track of your mantra collection with this pair of mala counters. Ten counting wheels and a stylized skull carved from bone are attached to each of the two red cords. The length is twice 7 cm.

The counters can be easily attached to any mala. Traditionally, they are attached after the 7th bead on each side. One counter can be used to count the hundreds, the other the thousands.

The skull is a reminder of the transience of life and the inevitability of death. This is a central concept in Buddhism, which leads to the practice of non-attachment and the realization of the illusion of the self.
