Mala prayer chain black agate

Hand-knotted Tibetan prayer chain with 108 carefully selected, polished black agate beads of the highest quality. The mala is made with two black cords and is produced for us in a traditional workshop in Nepal.

Black agate, a gemstone from the chalcedony family, has been valued in many cultures for thousands of years. It is considered a powerful protective stone that is said to help ward off negative energies, promote inner stability and center the mind. In meditation, black agate is often associated with strength, grounding and inner balance.

The 108 beads correspond to the traditional number of mantra repetitions in Buddhist practice and support calm and concentrated meditation.

We supply the mala in an elegant silk brocade bag, which we select individually to match the color.
