Panchen Losang Yeshé: The Swift Path

Composed by Losang Yeshâe around the turn of the seventeenth century, this text is a meditation manual on the lamrim, or "stages of the path to enlightenment."

The author, commonly referred to as either the Fifth or Second Paònchen Lama, depending on the convention for enumeration, formulated it as a supplement to the Easy Path (Delam) written by his immediate predecessor, Losang Chèokyi Gyaltsen, who was tutor to the Fifth Dalai Lama. Carrying great significance in the genre of lamrim literature, it came to be recognized as part of a collection of texts known as the eight great lamrims.
