Phurpa ritual dagger in bronze

Phurpa made of brass bronze from a traditional workshop in Nepal. The top of the piece shows a powerful depiction of a wrathful tutelary god with a wide-open mouth and a crown of skulls, which stands for overcoming the three spiritual poisons. The richly decorated handle combines braided structures and mythological forms that stand for protection and energetic stability. The triangular blade symbolizes the penetration of illusion, the fixing of restless forces and the purification of place and mind. In the tantric tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, a phurpa like this is used to transform negative energies, clear the mind and strengthen inner protection. Each of these ornate blades is both a ritual tool and an expression of living Himalayan culture.

Method 1: Measure the inner diameter of a suitable ring

  • Take a thin strip of paper or thread.

  • Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
  • Find the right size in the table.
Tips:
  • Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
  • If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
  • Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
