A vibrant, very lightweight scarf made from the fine undercoat of white yaks, featuring a design that radiates outward from the center—wide bands in rust red, moss green, ochre, and gray-blue that fan out toward the edges. The design incorporates the rainbow, which in Tibetan tradition is regarded not only as a refraction of light but also as a harbinger of a moment of perfection. The undercoat of white yaks is combed out in the summer, sorted, washed, and carded before being spun; it is the finest of all yak fibers, and the fabric is correspondingly soft. The illustration is hand-drawn, which is why each piece turns out slightly different. As a large square, the scarf can be draped around the neck, worn over the shoulder, or loosely folded and draped.

Care: Hand wash in cold water with wool detergent or have professionally cleaned. Do not rub or wring out—gently squeeze out the water and let the scarf dry flat. Do not tumble dry; do not expose to direct sunlight. If necessary, iron on a low setting with a cloth placed between the scarf and the iron.
