"Snow Leopard Tail" Ring in Silver · CHARU × Yitso

An open silver ring whose wide band tapers to two ends that wrap around each other like the curled tip of a tail. The surface features a delicate relief pattern resembling fur—dense dots on one end and dotted stripes on the other. The silver has a matte finish and is slightly uneven, giving it the appearance of weathered stone rather than polished metal.

It is modeled after the snow leopard’s tail. It is almost as long as the animal itself, helps it maintain balance when leaping over rocky ridges, and is wrapped around its body when at rest. In Tibetan culture, the snow leopard is considered a manifestation of the mountain deity—the soul of a sacred peak, which can appear as a human or an animal.

A Tibetan inscription is engraved on the inside: གངས་རིའི་སྲུང་མ — “Guardian of the Sacred Mountain.”

The ring has an open design and can be easily adjusted to fit. Please bend it gently to preserve its shape.

Yitso Hima is CHARU's jewelry label. The name comes from Yitso, the ancient Tibetan name for the sacred Lake Manasarovar: "Yid" stands for the spirit, and "Tso" for lake—the lake of the heart.
