Narrow Tibetan tray "Endless knot"

A practical and beautiful oblong tray painted with an infinite knot. Made by Tibetan artisans in Nepal, it is made of high-quality wood and is artfully painted with red and light blue paint and gold.

The Endless Knot (Sanskrit: Shrivatsa, Tibetan: Dpal be'u) is one of the Eight Symbols of Good Fortune in Buddhism and symbolizes the connection of wisdom and compassion as well as the infinity of life and the interconnectedness of all things in the universe. It has neither beginning nor end and represents the incessant cycles of birth, death and rebirth (samsara), but also the inseparable interplay of cause and effect (karma). At the same time, the knot refers to the timeless nature of enlightenment and the endless energy of Buddha, which is always present everywhere.
