Silver Ghau Pendant with the Kalachakra Symbol

A delicate silver Ghau pendant in a curving shape: The front features the Kalachakra emblem, set within finely twisted filigree scrollwork and framed by a surrounding beaded wreath. The Kalachakra symbol (Tib. Namchu Wangden, “the tenfold power”) combines ten intertwined syllables and symbols to form one of the most recognizable emblems of Tibetan Buddhism. A ghau (also gao) is a portable Tibetan amulet case used to hold prayer texts, blessed fabrics, or a yantra diagram. The pendant can be opened and closed again. Handcrafted in a traditional workshop in Nepal.
