Silver Ghau Pendant with Yungdrung and Turquoise
Delicate, round Ghau pendant made of silver: The domed front features the Yungdrung symbol set with a round turquoise stone in the center, framed by a twisted cord and delicate spiral work. Additional turquoise stones adorn the upper Vajra finial and the lower edge.
The Yungdrung is an ancient Tibetan symbol of good fortune and, in both Buddhist and Bon traditions, represents permanence and immortality.
A ghau (also known as a gao) is a portable Tibetan amulet case used to hold prayer texts, blessed fabrics, or a yantra diagram. The pendant can be opened and closed again. Handcrafted in a traditional workshop in Nepal.
