Nepalese temple bell with chain

The traditional wind bells are omnipresent at temples in Nepal - you can find them on almost every corner. Their sound is said to drive away evil spirits and protect the place. The bells hang on chains and a piece of metal in the shape of a Bodhi leaf is attached to the clapper. This leaf is caught by the wind and makes the bell ring gently.

Some of our bells are old, some are new, but all are made by hand from bronze in Nepal using traditional methods. Each bell is unique - no two are exactly alike, and both patina and mass may vary slightly.
