Gold-plated copper statue "Green Tara" in antique style with patina
This contemporary Green Tara statue is a handcrafted object of traditional Nepalese metal art. The figure shows the Bodhisattva Green Tara in a classic iconographic representation with fine workmanship and patina in antique style.
Green Tara is depicted half-sitting, with her right leg stretched out in front and her left leg in a meditative posture. The right hand is open downwards, the left holds the lotus flower (Utpala). The figure wears an elaborately crafted crown, decorative elements and a detailed robe. A decorative back plate with floral and flame-like motifs surrounds the figure.
The surface shows a patina in gold and bronze tones with darker traces of oxidation, particularly on the back, base and recesses. The rear view shows a fully elaborated hairstyle and back.
