Our scarves are woven by a women's cooperative in the Himalayan valleys. Their regular income has enabled them to earn a living according to their needs, invest in their children's education and gain more confidence in the future. The wool comes from yaks, sheep and goats reared by nomadic herders and local shepherds on the Himalayan plateau. Every spring, they shed their soft undercoat for the summer. In a process that is painless for the animals, the shepherds collect the loose wool and take it to market. This combines the highest quality materials with centuries-old craftsmanship.

Care instructions: Wash cold by hand or on the wool cycle of the washing machine. Use little wool detergent, only spin or knead briefly and lightly. Lay flat on a clothes rack to dry. Lay flat on a clothes rack to dry. Do not tumble dry.
