Delicate Japanese ceramic bowl

An elegant little bowl with a calm, dark exterior—and a surprising interior: Delicate grooves radiate from the bottom toward the rim, their raised ridges glinting white, while the glaze pools in the grooves, taking on a deep indigo hue. This effect is created by the relief itself: where the glaze flows over the edges, it becomes thin and light; in the grooves, it remains dark. The narrow, light-colored rim frames the pattern and is repeated on the base. The wide-open, shallow shape is perfect for tapas, appetizer pastries, and nuts, as well as soups or desserts.
