Tibetan prayer necklace with 108 dark Bodhi seeds and a large, hand-forged silver Guru bead with Tibetan floral motifs, made for us by Tibetan silversmiths in a workshop in Nepal using traditional methods. The decorative tassel on the silver bead is available in different colors. The prayer chain is knotted by hand at Atelier Tibet in Zurich. We deliver the mala in an elegant silk brocade bag, which we select individually to match the color.
Bodhi seeds are the products of the Bodhi tree. The term "Bodhi" comes from Sanskrit and refers to awakening, enlightenment and comprehensive understanding. Siddharta Gautama attained enlightenment under a bodhi tree and thus became a Buddha. Since then, the bodhi tree has been a sacred symbol in Buddhism.
