Silver Ghau Pendant with Turquoise
A richly adorned oval silver Ghau pendant: An oval turquoise cabochon sits at the center of a finely twisted filigree base, surrounded by a ring of small round turquoises set in beaded wire. Small half-vajra elements at the top and bottom complete the design. In Tibetan culture, turquoise is one of the most highly prized stones and is traditionally associated with the sky and with protection. A ghau (also known as a gao) is a portable Tibetan amulet case used to hold prayer texts, blessed fabrics, or a yantra diagram. The pendant can be opened and closed again. Handcrafted in a traditional workshop in Nepal.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
