Sorig Massage Oil · Men-Tsee-Khang
A warm, slightly spicy herbal oil for body massage, made according to a Tibetan medicine recipe. It is based on soybean oil and enriched with twelve plants—including nutmeg, cloves, green and black cardamom, ginger, and turmeric. The oil absorbs slowly and is suitable for massaging larger areas of the body.
In the classical texts of Sowa Rigpa, the “Knowledge of Healing,” oil massage plays an integral role in daily health care—especially during the cold, dry season.
Directions: Massage into the skin once a week or as needed. Gently warm the oil in your hands or in a water bath before use. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.
The oil is produced by Men-Tsee-Khang, the Tibetan Institute of Medicine and Astrology in Dharamsala. The institute was founded in Lhasa in 1916 by the 13th Dalai Lama and reestablished in exile in India in 1961 by the 14th Dalai Lama; to this day, it trains doctors in Tibetan medicine and, in its own pharmacy, manufactures medicines and care products according to traditional formulas. Every purchase helps support this work.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
