Necklace with seed syllable Dhih, fire-gilded · CHARU × Khyenle
Exquisite pendant: On a reddish shimmering bronze background, the seed syllable Dhih stands in fire-gilded gold, set in a smooth silver frame. The contrast of the warm copper tone, matte silver, and deep golden yellow turns this small 1.5 cm surface into a true statement piece. Dhih is the seed syllable of the Bodhisattva Manjushri, who represents wisdom and study in Tibetan Buddhism. The pendant hangs on a brown, braided cord, the length of which can be adjusted.
The pendant is cast in Khyenle bronze, an alloy of brass and copper with small amounts of gold, silver, tin, zinc, and lead. The tradition dates back to the 19th century and the workshops around Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo in Dzongsar, in the Dege County of Kham; the name connects the Khyentse lineage with the craft of bronze casting. Each piece goes through six stages: wax model, mold, melting, casting, hand-finishing, and polishing. The manual finishing process accounts for the majority of the time.
The necklace is delivered in a fine wooden gift box.
CHARU connects designers with craft cooperatives in the Tibetan cultural sphere, developing products that bring traditional techniques into everyday life.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
