"Chöpa" altar copper water bowls

On a Tibetan altar, seven "chöpa"(མཆོད་པ་) water bowls are traditionally used as offerings. They symbolize purity and generosity and are an expression of respect and devotion to the Buddhist teachings and the various deities worshipped in Tibetan rituals.

The water bowls are filled with fresh water every morning and symbolize generosity towards the beings in the universe, including the gods, spirits and other living beings. At the end of the day, the water is poured out of the bowls again.

These bowls are made of copper, produced in Nepal and available in three different sizes. We deliver them in a fine bag made of brocade silk.
