Red sandalwood mala with a double vajra pendant

This mala, made of reddish-brown sandalwood beads with a warm, deep hue and fine grain, is delicate and lightweight. It is topped by a larger guru bead with a turned neckpiece, from which a brass double vajra pendant hangs.

The Double Vajra (Vishvavajra, Tib. sna tshogs rdo rje) consists of two crossed vajras and is one of the well-known symbols of Tibetan Buddhism; in the tradition, it is associated with strength and stability. A mala traditionally consists of 108 beads and serves as a counting string during recitation.

We deliver the mala in an elegant silk brocade pouch, which we select individually to match the color.

Bead diameter approx. 6 mm · Circumference approx. 60 cm · Double vajra pendant, brass, ⌀ approx. 35 mm · Red sandalwood, brass · Made in the Tibet Studio
