Mala made from raktu seeds with a handcrafted silver bead, 3 colors
This mala, made of dark brown raktu seeds, exudes character and earthiness; the seeds’ distinctive, black-veined grain gives each bead its own unique character. A finely crafted silver bead with raised vine or cloud motifs serves as the guru bead; below it, small strands of seeds and silver-colored findings are strung on blue cords; the cord is available in various colors.
The raktu or bodhi seed is one of the traditional materials used in Tibetan prayer beads. A mala typically consists of 108 beads and is used as a counting string during recitation.
Handcrafted at Atelier Tibet in Zurich. We ship the mala in an elegant silk brocade pouch, which we select individually to match the color of the mala.
Bead diameter approx. 10 mm · Circumference approx. 84 cm · Raktu seeds, silver · Guru bead handmade in Nepal by a Tibetan silversmith · Made in the Tibet Studio
