Medicine Buddha statue made of copper, fire-gilded and painted
Magnificent and highly detailed and painted statue of Medicine Budha, with a particularly finely chiseled robe.
In Buddhism, the Medicine Buddha (Tibetan: Sangye Menla, Sanskrit: Bhaisajyaguru) is the embodiment of healing, compassion and spiritual medicine. He is depicted with deep blue skin - the color of lapis lazuli - and holds a bowl of healing nectar in his left hand and a myrobalan fruit in his right.
The practice of Medicine Buddha serves to heal illnesses, alleviate suffering and strengthen mental and physical health. Karmic causes of illness can also be purified through his invocation.
His mantra - Tadyatha Om Bekandze Bekandze Maha Bekandze Radza Samudgate Soha - is often recited to activate healing powers and aid recovery.
This statue was made in a traditional artisan workshop in Nepal and is made of copper. The height is 22 cm. It was fire-gilded in an elaborate process, giving it a radiant surface. The face was painted by hand with great precision and gives the statue an extraordinary expressiveness.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
