Delicate rosewood mala with rudraksha and turquoise
A playful, delicate mala made of small rosewood beads in shades ranging from warm wine red to dark brown, with a grain pattern that varies from bead to bead. Two turquoise beads serve as counting markers, set between punched silver rondelles along the strand, which is topped by a vintage rudraksha seed in an embossed silver setting with a pink tassel.
Rosewood refers to various types of wood from tropical trees of the Dalbergia genus, including Dalbergia latifolia (Indian rosewood). It is characterized by its reddish-brown color, fine grain, and a subtle, pleasant scent. It is considered to have harmonizing properties.
In Tibetan Buddhist practice, malas are used to count recitations; the rudraksha fruit has long been used for prayer beads in the Himalayas. A braided knot with two wooden and silver ornaments adds a playful touch.
We deliver the mala in an elegant silk brocade pouch, which we select individually to match the color.
