Traditional silver ring from Nepal - handmade in filigree work

This traditional, large silver ring from Nepal showcases the characteristic craftsmanship of the Himalayan region. The wide ring band is adorned with finely crafted floral patterns created in filigree work: Thin silver wires are twisted by hand, bent and soldered together to form ornamental shapes. The patterns sit on a dark patinated recess, making the filigree lines stand out clearly.

The ring is approx. 17 mm wide. It is open at the ends and can be easily adjusted to the finger size. The edges and frame are decorated with typical Nepalese rope and dot ornaments, which provide stability and emphasize the traditional style. The inside is smooth and polished, making it comfortable to wear.

The ring is made in small Nepalese silversmiths, where filigree and chasing techniques have been passed down for generations. Each piece is made entirely by hand and is therefore unique.
