Vairochana Dharmachakra Mudra Buddha Ghau pendant in silver
Elegant silver ghau pendant with a depiction of Vairochana Buddha in Dharmachakra Mudra, also known as the Wheel of Teaching gesture. This symbolizes Buddha's first sermon in the deer park of Sarnath, where he proclaimed the teachings of the Dharma and the Four Noble Truths. The hands are positioned in a special posture at chest height, with the thumb and forefinger of both hands forming a circle representing the turning of the Dharma wheel. The right hand points outwards, the left hand inwards, illustrating the connection between the outer and inner worlds.
A ghau (or gao) is a traditional Tibetan medallion that serves as a portable reliquary box. It can be filled with written prayers, blessed materials or sacred yantra diagrams.
The back of the pendant is artfully decorated with the mantra ༀ་ཨཱཿ་ཧཱུྃ (OM AH HUNG). This mantra is symbolic of the body (OM), speech (AH) and mind (HUNG), which are harmonized through the transformative blessing of all Buddhas - past, present and future.
The ghau was made by hand in a traditional workshop in Nepal. It harmonizes perfectly with the snake necklaces from Atelier Tibet (sold separately).

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
